The 1670 inks celebrate the year in which Jacques HERBIN was founded in the heart of Paris, originally to market sealing wax and later writing ink. Intense colours, the 1670 inks are illuminated with golden glitter.

The intense brown of the Caroube de Chypre ink is splattered with flame-like reflections to give shine to its various writings. Caroube is grown in many countries, including Cyprus, where it was formerly called “black gold” as, according to legend, its therapeutic virtues allowed people consuming it to reach a very old age.
