Jacques Herbin Violet Imperial Ink – 50 ml
The 1670 inks celebrate the year in which Jacques HERBIN was founded in the heart of Paris, originally to market sealing wax and later writing ink. Intense colours, the 1670 inks are illuminated with golden glitter.
The Violet Imperial ink has bluish reflections and a thousand sparkling shimmers that creates a pleasurable writing experience. Because of the scarcity of dyes, this colour, a symbol of luxury but also of mystery, was used by the Emperor and his family under the Roman Empire and then by the various royalties. King Louis XIV, under whom Jacques Herbin was founded, used it for his clothes during certain periods of his life.
This fresh and elegant colour is currently very popular, particularly in decoration and design.
Ink in the bottles have been adjusted, to the best of our ability, to convey their appearance on paper. Please refer to ink swatches for the best representation of their colour.
