Modern gall inks have been redesigned so they can be used regularly in fountain pens. With this ink being acidic it is recommended to do a more thorough than usual cleaning regimen – which requires the ink to be flushed out regularly with water – so as to avoid clogging or potential corrosion on delicate pen parts. When using this ink your fountain pen should be thoroughly cleaned every couple of weeks.
